Privateer
creative direction, design What happens when Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, an accomplished robotics engineer, and a spiritual astrodynamics professor walk into a bar? They create a company that doesn’t look at the sky as the limit, but rather the start. Privateer is on a mission so big, it goes beyond Earth’s atmosphere. Space junk continues to fill our skies, threatening the way we live down here and our prospects of future exploration out there. Privateer’s goal is to raise awareness of this issue and provide accurate data to space operators. At the core of Privateer’s technology is Wayfinder, a powerful tool that maps satellites and debris in real-time. Combined with several other tools, including a free collision risk assessment called “Crow’s Nest,” Privateer is on a mission to make space predictable and safe, paving the way for the rapid growth of space exploration and commerce. Since the company’s earliest days, I’ve worked directly with the founders as well as CMO Diana Klochkova, to craft a truly unique brand—one that intentionally stands well apart from others in the “space.” To read more about the creative process of this project, check out the blog post.
