Life in Jeneral
brand identity, creative direction, social communication strategy, design Jen Robin is the founder of Life in Jeneral, a leading home and life organization company founded in Los Angeles. Her untenable work ethic and passion for organizing is reflected in the success of her business. In just a few years, Jen moved from a small operation focusing on high profile celebrity clients, to an established thought leader in the home organization industry. She partners with companies like The Container Store, has been featured in People magazine, and has even written a book, which has topped the charts in the Home Design & Construction category on Amazon. Life in Jeneral boasts over 350,000 social media followers, which also serves as an influence for many other organizational companies around the country—many of which she partners with to support, inspire, and teach. In addition to providing organization services, Life in Jeneral also provides a range of educational content for entrepreneurs in the industry on how to grow their business and expand their clientele. Jen was looking for a new brand identity—one that captured her growing business in a simple, unique and memorable way. She wanted a brand that could stand next to competitors and feel appropriate, modern, and professional. Leveraging equity she’s built from her original brand that used cursive to write “Jen,” I repurposed this concept to focus solely on the “J.” This allows for maximum legibility and provides the brand with a simple icon that can be used in a variety of placements.
